IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David
Moseman
November 10, 1961 – March 2, 2022
David Moseman, age 60, went to be with the Lord, on March 2, 2022. David was born on November 10, 1961 to Edward and Verda (Diehl) Mosemen and spent his early years on the family farm in rural Spring Green. David was born with physical and cognitive limitations. When he was 8 years old his parents made the difficult decision to place him in a facility that could provide opportunities that weren't available for him at home. He lived there until 1994 when he had the opportunity to move back into community living. Because David was nonverbal, this transition created many challenges. However, it also created many wonderful opportunities, which allowed David to grow, learn and thrive. True to his German and Swiss heritage he was stubborn and determined beyond measure. This stubborn determination challenged his caregivers but as time went on and he was allowed to explore his many curiosities with less restrictions the challenges decreased and he became more true to himself. Known as a man of many faces, much of what David could be thinking could be read on his face. Making faces, with whoever chose to participate with him, was also a favorite game that started at home with his mom and continued on throughout his life. David had numerous passions. Most notably, vinyl records. He was thrilled to just look at them but he did enjoy the music as well.
He loved a good polka and big band music. As time went on his music tastes broadened to many other genres. He loved roller coasters and any other fast and moving wild ride he had the opportunity to experience. His trip to Disney World was an over the top experience for him. He enjoyed people watching. Babies and young children always put a smile on his face. Yearly trips to Badger Camp, car and tractor rides, a daily soak in the tub and a Culver's strawberry shake were also favorites. Nothing created more excitement than to see holiday decorations go up. Halloween was the favorite with Christmas being a close second. He was known to confiscate any decoration he could get his hands on. Regardless of what time of year it was, David would prefer to keep the decorations up all year long.
David leaves behind his brother Gary (Diane) Moseman, sister Pam (Wayne) Whitemarsh, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marsha Moseman, and numerous relatives including his favorite aunt, Emily.
A private celebration for David will be held at a later date.
A memorial in David's name will be established.
David was blessed with many special people in his life who truly helped him to blossom. A heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Dreamweavers and CSN who went above and beyond to insure David's safety and well being and brought out the best in David. And much gratitude to Dr. Schwab and the staff from Northeast Family Medical Center who oversaw David's many medical needs with genuine care and concern. David preferred laying on the floor over sitting in a chair so if necessary the staff did not shy away from joining him on the floor to exam him.
Thanks to all who have been involved in David's life over the years.
Dave, we love and miss you.
