David J. Rogalla, age 78, passed away on May 25, 2021 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.  He was born in Wausau on Mar. 24, 1943 to the late Joseph and Arstella (Sandquist) Rogalla, one of 2 children.  David graduated from Wausau East High School, class of 1961 and went on to attend U.W. Madison School of Pharmacy and continuing education classes throughout his life.  He was united in marriage to Judi Sterrett on Dec. 23, 1995 at St. James in Appleton.  David had a love of music and was known as the "Guitarman" who enjoyed playing and singing with family, friends.  David and Judi sang together as, Sunrise a Christian music ministry and often played in churches and nursing homes.  David and Judi retired to Sauk Prairie in 2015, and are members of Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac.  Aside from his enjoyment of music and guitars, he enjoyed spending time with his family, who will miss his terrible jokes.

David is survived by his wife, Judi; his daughter, Melissa Rogalla; and Judi's children,  Carolyn (Steven) Wolfe and their son, Brody; son, Cory (Karen) Laws and their daughter, Teaguen; David's faithful service dog, Becky, and a sister.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at a later date.

David's family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the Sauk Prairie EMS for their help and Maplewood Nursing Home staff for their wonderful care of David.
