David Angelo Smocke , born September 28,1953 in Sturgeon Bay, WI and passed away on April 13, 2012 in Sauk City, WI. David was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Smocke and brother, Thomas J. Smocke. He is survived by his loving partner, Douglas A. Yost, his mother Myrl Smocke of Menominee Falls, his partner's parents Wayne and Jean Yost of Wildwood, FL., his siblings Robert L. (Rosie) Smocke of New Berlin, Daniel (Kathy) Smocke of Kenosha, Julie Smocke of Menominee Falls, and Timothy J. Smocke of Sussex and many other loving friends and relatives.
Dave attended UW Waukesha and studied finance and banking. He started his banking career as a teller at Park State Bank. It was not long before he set off to Tucson in his Ford Torino. He worked his way up and became Assistant Vice President of Security Pacific Bank at Green Valley, AZ. Upon his retirement in 1991, Dave and Doug moved back to Wisconsin, where they have lived since.
A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012, followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Following the visitation, family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Dave's life at the Blue Spoon Café in Prairie du Sac, WI. Burial will take place in Niles, Michigan on April 20th.
