Obituary

Debra "Deb" Breunig, age 67, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Christmas Eve.  She was born with her twin sister, Diane on New Years Day, 1957 to the late Ray and Evelyn (Werla) Wilson.  Debbie attended and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School.  She was married to the love of her life, Lester Breunig on Nov. 9th, 1974; recently celebrating 50 years together.  Deb worked for Kwik Trip in Sauk City for almost 30 years before retiring, where she always worked the early shift greeting customers with a smile and smart one liner.  She enjoyed her customers and the many connections she made there.  Deb was proud of her store and her daughters who worked side by side with her for many years.

She loved people; her 2 best friends-the "the 3 Deb's", her family and the people in her life; and was especially proud of her grandchildren.  She loved having the kids over for swimming, four wheeling trips, going to the movies, KT trips with her girls, scrabble with her sisters, and looked forward to celebrating her birthday on New Years with family.

She is survived by her husband, Lester "Les"; daughter, Jennifer (Craig) Walch and their boys, Spencer (Sheyanne) and Carson (Emma); Kelly (Dan Paulus) and her children, Madisyn (Joe) and Preston (Kallie) Lins and a new great granddaughter Kayler Lins; siblings, Barb Kube, Susan Showen, Kristy Wilson, Diane (Ed) Shaker, Trudy Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, and Lisa Peterson; Lester's siblings, Marlene (David) Strang, Rita (Roger) Hughbanks, Barb (Kim) Foye, and Lisa Breunig.

She is further survived by countless nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Willey, Bonnie Harrison, William Wilson, Jim Wilson, David "Albert" Wilson, Mike "Uncle Mike" Wilson, Allen Wilson; brother in-laws, Steve Peterson, Rod Kube, Larry Showen, Walter Kirch; and sister in-law, Judy Wilson; and nephews, Dan Hager and Andy Willey.

A Visitation for Deb will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 7th, 2025 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
