Obituary

Delores Bertha Baier, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Eve surrounded by her loving family, from complications of Leukimia. She was born in the Honey Creek Township on May 11, 1927 to the late Edwin and Selma (Beulow) Garske. Delores married Norbert Baier on September 15, 1951 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Sauk City. Delores loved cooking and baking and was very proud of her family. "SHE LIVED FOR HER FAMILY". Delores was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church for over 59 years.


She is survived by her husband, Norbert; six sons, David (Theresa) Baier of Geneva, IL, Randy (Joan) Baier of Prairie du Sac, Gary Baier of Madison, Rick (Carol) Baier of Merrimac, Kurt (Shannan) Baier of Sauk City, and
Todd (Kim) Baier of Prairie du Sac; 12 grandchildren, Anthony and Courtney Baier of Geneva, IL,
Dylan, Hollyanne, and Matthew Baier of Merrimac, Lucas and Ciara Baier of Prairie du Sac, Kursha and Thea Baier of Sauk City, and Kylie, Adam, and Klaire Baier of Prairie du Sac; a sister, Arletta Wachter of Sauk City; and a special cousin, Lovice Klemp of Portage.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Baier of Geneva, Il; and an infant sister.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City with Fr. Jared Hood officiating. Friends may call on Monday, December 27 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery.


The family would like to thank Home Health United Hospice and nurse Emily for the the special care given to Delores; Fr. Jared Hood for his spiritual guidance and a special daughter in-law, Theresa Baier.
