Dennis Pete, age 78, passed away February 4, 2025, at Meriter Hospital, Madison surrounded by his sons, Greg, Ryan and his sister Melody. He was born on July 2, 1946, the son of Bud and Betty Pete.

Dennis was employed by Badger Ordnance, Devils Head and Seneca Foods from where he retired. Dennis enjoyed, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and vintage cars as well as his 2 cats, Corey and Gracie. He started many of his days with breakfast at the Eagle Inn Restaurant, where he enjoyed teasing the waitresses and customers. Dennis was the kind of person who would come out at 3 a.m. in below zero weather, to fix a car for anyone who needed help. He will be missed by his family and many friends and all the dogs and cats he befriended.

He is survived by his spouse, Frances Pete, 2 sons, Greg Pete and Ryan (Jordan) Pete; his siblings, Sam, Linda (Dan) Coffey, Melody (Curt) Berg and Lisa (Todd) Shaw.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Jo Pete, his mother, Betty Hanson, father Bud Pete, and sister in-law, Tammy Pete and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held, at a later date.
