Desiree Marie (Larsen) Drake, age 27, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30, 2011. She was born in Madison on December 2, 1983, the daughter of Theresa J. (Bauman) Larsen and William J. Larsen. She graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 2002 and later married Mark Drake. Desiree was a devoted employee of Ace Hardware, Sauk City and also a bartender at Mojo's Bar and Grill in Waunakee. She was a loving, caring, mother, daughter, sister and granddaughter and enjoyed family and friends, music, dancing, painting, and life and all it had to offer.


She is survived by her husband, Mark Drake; two children, Anessa and Caiden; mother, Theresa Larsen; father, William Larsen; grandmother, Dorothy Bauman; sister, Celina (Larsen) Gonzalez; brother, Trevor Larsen; half-sister, Trisha; other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruben and Lillian Larsen and Orville Bauman; and two uncles, Neil Bauman and Harold Larsen.


A funeral service will be held at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 with Pastor Sally Williams officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Run Cemetery, Lowville Township, Columbia County. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 and also after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
