Dona Jean Frances (Kurt) Hartmann, age 79, of Sauk City died on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Maplewood Nursing Home. She was born in Dane, Wisconsin on February 26, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Golz) Kurt. She graduated from Lodi High School. She was united in marriage to Clifford Walter Hartmann on October 17, 1950, at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Dane. She raised her family and owned and operated a flower shop in Sauk City.

She is survived by her five children, Lora Hartmann of Sauk City, David (Teresa) Hartmann of Lodi, Kathleen (Tom) Breunig of Prairie du Sac, Thomas (Barbara) Hartmann of Prairie du Sac, and Roberta (Kevin) Lemanski of Waunakee; two sisters Almira Aberle of Cross Plains, and Arlene Ziegler of Arlington; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Clifford Walter, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Clarice (Harry) Keichinger and Dorella (George) Maier and two brothers, John N. (Henrietta) Kurt and Francis (Elaine) Kurt.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at SAINT ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2010, with Father Jared Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.

There is a little of me in all of you. In each new one I live anew. So you see, I'll never be really gone as long as there are children to carry on. I've had my share of love, sorrow and strife, I have lived a full and fruitful life. So do not mourn and do not weep, for I have earned this peaceful sleep."
