Donald Bernard Ditsch, age 68, died Thur., Feb.4, 2016. He was born Mar. 20, 1947 in Madison, WI to the late Roman and Marion (Gavol) Ditsch. He attended a small country school in the town of Vermont and High School in Mt. Horeb. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy after which he married Sandra Eveland in 1970 and had 2 sons, Randy Bernard Ditsch and Nicholas Michael Ditsch.


Donald was a longtime employee of Wick Homes in Mazomanie. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. Many times you could see him sitting on a bucket, ice fishing. He also was an avid card player with family and friends. Don and Sandy divorced when Nick was still a baby, after which he shared a home for many years with his older brother Russell near Arena.

He is survived by his two sons, Randy and Nicholas of Mazomanie; a sister Shirley Broten and his brothers Russell, Earl(Jean), Arthur(Mary), and Phillip(Carmen); many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will take place at Grandma Mary's Café, Hwy 14 in Arena, at 2:00 pm on Fri. Feb. 19, 2016. Please come and share memories of his life.
