Donald A. "Donny" Blum, passed away peacefully at home, due to complications of Parkinson's disease, surrounded by his family, on October 27, 2016.
He was born in Sauk City, WI on April 30, 1941, to Donald and Doris (Bonham) Blum. He graduated from Sauk City High School and later attended UW Platteville, obtaining a B.S. degree in Social Work.
Following graduation Donny was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from 1966 until 1968. He later was employed by Pierce County as a Social Worker, for 17 years and spent the rest of his career buying and selling collectibles. He enjoyed wood carving in his free time. He loved spending time at his second home in Mountain View Arkansas, where he and many friends loved listening to music on the court square.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, James "Jim" of Waunakee, John (Jen) of Sauk City, and Jennifer of Sauk City; his mother, Doris, of Sauk City; sisters, Karen (Jerry) Harpt of Wallace, MI and Joan (Jim) Horne of Sauk City along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Blum.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Donald's personal Agrace team that took such good care of Don during his last months.
