Donald D. Frommung of Prairie du Sac, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 18,2010 at St. Mary's Hospital Madison. Don was born in Sauk County on August 4, 1943 to Edwin and Arline (Grass) Frommung. He married Mary Deutmeyer of Luxemburg, Iowa on Sept. 7, 1968.
Don had a great love for the outdoors. His greatest passions were hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed passing these passions down to his grandchildren. He was known to many as "Mr. Fix-it", able to build, fix or "improve" anything. Don was also known for his generosity to others , giving his time and talents over to anyone in need. In the past few years he really enjoyed making bird feeders and feeding the many birds and squirrels that gather in the back yard. And you ought to see the beautiful landscape flower gardens he has built!
He is survived byhis wife Mary of Prairie du Sac

brothers / sisters in law: Marv (Norma) Deutmeyer, Jerry (Jan) Deutmeyer, Rich (Helen) Deutmeyer, Dianne (Dennis) Duwe, Grace Clemen and Phyllis Errthum all of Iowa as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Don was preceded in death by his Father Edwin and brothers in law , Jim, Clete and Bob.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 23, 2010 at the Sauk Prairie Evangelical Free Church, 1375 Lincoln Ave., Prairie du Sac, with pastor Dwight Pulsfus officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Zion Cemetery.
