Donald Hannam of Prairie du Sac passed away on December 4, 2013 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born December 4, 1925 in Kewanee, IL to Franklin and Alice Hannam. Don served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and worked for K&M Tie and Lumber for many years. He retired from work at Universal Die and Stampings. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and always had a good joke to tell. He also liked to talk to his friends on the telephone and also enjoyed going to Ho-Chunk.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy; sister, Pauline Heilgeist of California; stepson, LeeRoy Rodgers (Chris) of Hawaii; sons, Danny of Baraboo, Ron (Jennifer) of Mazomanie, Jake of Prairie du Sac; daughters, Julie Parish (Johnny) of Sauk City and Rhonda (Ted) of Prairie du Sac; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe and a grandson, Nathan.
A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Burial will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
