Donald Lins, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1925 in Wood County, the son of the late Frank and Cecilia (Gruber) Lins. He was united in marriage to Imelda (Marklein) on August 16, 1949.


He is survived by his wife, Imelda; 7 children, Duane (Bonnie) Diane Lins, David (Diane), Darrell (Vicki), Tim (Joleen), Karen (Martin) Ganser and Julie (Brad) Keith; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary; 4 sisters, Bernadine Beck, Val Phillips, Imelda (Rich) Adelman and Lois Degener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, a sister, and 2 grandchildren.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 and also at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15am.
