IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald A.
Pulvermacher
January 29, 1955 – April 4, 2019
Donald Andrew Pulvermacher, age 64, of Sauk City, passed away at home peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday April 4th, 2019. He was born on January 29, 1955, son of the late John and Bernadette "Toots" (Annen) Pulvermacher. He grew up in Martinsville, WI and graduated from Middleton High School in 1973. Don worked hard all of his life, beginning at an early age working on nearby farms, followed by a career as a truck driver.
On June 17, 1989 Don married Paula Krohn at Waunakee Village Park. They were happily married for almost 30 years. They found their forever home on a beautiful farmette outside of Sauk City.
Don was happiest spending time with family and friends. He loved being a dad and wanted nothing more than to make his children happy. Summers were spent camping with his children and boating with a wonderful group of friends. Don was proud of his career as a truck driver for over 30 years; especially his many miles without an accident and the incredible accuracy of backing up. After driving semi-trucks, he delivered for Weaver Auto Parts; a job he loved so much as it allowed him to enjoy wildlife and the beautiful, scenic back roads. In recent years, Don looked forward to having his card buddies over every Thursday, watching birds out the kitchen window, and following golf tournaments on the weekend.
Don will be remembered for his humor, story-telling, and ability to make people laugh.
Don is survived by his wife Paula, Children: Tara (Tony) Winscher, Adam Pulvermacher, two daughters from his first wife (Janet), Melissa Virgin and Jessica (Ben) Greenslet. Grandchildren: Grant and Tessa Virgin, Brody Greenslet, Izzabella Pulvermacher. Siblings: Robert Pulvermacher, Vern (Mary) Pulvermacher, Diane (Chuck) Endres, Carol (Marilyn) Pulvermacher, John Pulvermacher, Charlie Pulvermacher, many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved so much. Mother-in-law, Ellen Krohn, and sister-in-law Lori (Lewy) Budworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debbie Endres, his brother Kenneth Pulvermacher, his father-in-law Richard Krohn, and his brother-in-law Terry Breuer.
Visitation will be held at Graceway Church: 65 13th St, Prairie Du Sac, WI 53578 on Saturday April 13th, 2019 from 11am-2 pm with a Memorial service at 2:15 pm. Light refreshments in the church basement to follow the service.
