Donavin Hoffman, age 42, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 15, 2011 in Richmond, VA. He was born in Iowa on March 28, 1969, the son of Robert Paul and Debra L. (Burt) Hoffman. He graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1987. Donavin was a skilled carpenter, who took pride in his work. His passions included fishing with his favorite buddy and son, Dakota, visiting area lakes and rivers, and returning home to feast on the day's catch. He also enjoyed drawing and would spend hours with a sketch pad, drawing unique designs.



He is survived by two sons, Dakota and Konner; a daughter, Krista; his parents, Robert Paul and Debra Hoffman; a brother, Matthew Hoffman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Donavin was loved and will always be missed and remembered by his family.


He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kitana; a brother, Justin; and his grandparents.


A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 702 Emily Rd., Mazomanie, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
