Doris Marie Juberg

Doris M. Juberg, age 100, of Merrimac and formerly of Des Plaines, Ill., passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in Chicago on March 25, 1926, to the late Emil and Elizabeth Destree. She married the late Edward Juberg on Sept. 20, 1952. Doris spent most of her life residing in Des Plaines and weekends on the lake at the family cottages in Merrimac before permanently moving here in 1998 to further her care. Merrimac had been a home to her for the 100 years of her life. In Apr. of 1976, while doing what they loved to do, making memories at the lake, Doris suddenly lost her beloved husband. Doris was most known to everyone as Grandma. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; father Emil, and mother Elizabeth Destree. Doris is survived by her children; daughter, Marcia Wagner and son Robert (Luanne) Juberg; grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda) Wagner, Matthew Wagner, and Jennifer (Robert Humphrey) Wagner; great-grandchildren; Anthony (Jade) Wagner, Kayla (Chase) Olson, Connor Wagner, Kaden, and Makenzie Humphrey; great-great-grandson, Lucas Wagner.

Doris’s family would like to extend their sincerest thank you to her amazing care team – Amber S. and Carla from Agrace, Ashley Schultz, and Janie Briese. Thank you for being a part of her care and helping fulfill her final wishes.
