Doris Catherine Marx, age 75, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Lodi Good Samaritan. She was born in Waunakee on June, 10, 1934 to the late Louis and Marie (Miller) Rauls. Doris graduated as the Salutatorian from Deforest High School, class of 1952. She was Executive Secretary to the President of Oscar Mayer before she married Marcus Marx on June 29, 1954. Together they farmed and raised their family in the Roxbury Township. Doris really enjoyed family gatherings, children of all ages, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Marcus, of Roxbury; eight children, Donna (Ed) Ziegler, Phil (Holly) Marx, Lois (Bill Clasen) Marx, Janet (Scott) Tiedeman, Yvonne (Paul) Edmonds, David (Mary Ann) Marx, Joe (Michelle) Marx, John (Lisa) Marx; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gilbert (Jean) Rauls and Stanley (Judy) Rauls; two sisters, Carol (Gilbert) Helt and Agnes (Roy) Schoepp; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Allan Rauls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at 11AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lodi. Burial will be in St. Norbert's Cemetery, Roxbury, following a luncheon at St. Patricks. Friends may call on Tuesday evening at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City from 4PM to 8PM, and at the church on Wednesday, one hour prior to Mass.
