Dorothy Ferver, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt . . . friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jack C. Ferver, her children, Scott & Stacy Skare and Jack W. Ferver, and her stepchildren, Cindy and Kent Ferver, a sister, Mary Cyr and lastly Max, her beloved Papillon.
Dorothy was a departmental administrator at the UW Madison Extension Program. She performed decades of service to her church and community. In the final phase of her work life, Dorothy found perhaps her most rewarding role as a teachers' aide, assisting special needs students at Sauk-Prairie High School.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Dorothy's honor to the American Diabetes Association or to Andrew Roll Cemetery, c/o Jack C. Ferver. There will be a celebration of her life at some point in the not-too-distant future.
Dear Dorothy,
You are greatly missed! Your license plate, LAF OFTN, is a testament to how you lived your life. You always found the good in everyone and every situation. Your first major medical incident in 1987 gave us all such a scare! How could we have known then that we would have 26 more years of your love, kindness and generosity! You made every day a good one for those around you, in spite of your ongoing health challenges.
So now, dear Dorothy, your struggle is over and you are gone from the limitations of your body. But your spirit will always live on in each life that you touched.
