Dorothy "Nonnie" Jane Goette, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Thur. Dec. 22, 2016. She was born July 15, 1926 to the late Elmo and Tess (Dennis) Decker. Dorothy married Lowell C. Goette on Dec. 14, 1946; he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2012. Together she and Lowell farmed in the Merrimac Township their entire lives; she also enjoyed working and scooping ice cream at Merry Mac's Campground for 21 years. Dorothy looked forward to her Fri. morning coffee clutch at the Eagle Inn, and was a lifetime member of the Merrimac Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Sue) Goette; and was Nonnie to 3 grandchildren, Lisa (Thane) Newman, Lori Acker, and Kevin Goette; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by sister in-law, Muriel Halweg, other relatives and special caregiver, Michel'e Young.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Al (Mary) Decker; and brother's in-law, Donald Halweg and Louis Goette.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Fri. Dec. 30, 2016 at Merrimac Immanuel Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Kingston Cemetery.
