Dorothy (Steuber) Oetzman, age 79, was called by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 10, 2011 to the beautiful joy and beauty of eternal life in His kingdom. She was born in Honey Creek township on January 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry and Marcella (Rothacker) Steuber. She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Paul Oetzman on April 25, 1959 at St. John Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac. She was previously employed at American Family Insurance and as a teacher's aide. Dorothy's hobbies included collecting angels, teddy bears, cats, and miniature lamps. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; two sons, Arlyn and Rene; a sister, Thonetta (Ivan) Hehenberger; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Dean Oetzman and Richard Mahler.
Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Though her smile is gone forever and her hand you cannot touch, we have so many memories of the one we loved so much. Her memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. God has her in His keeping and we have her in our hearts.
