Obituary

Dorothy May Seston, age 90 of Mazomanie, WI, passed away with her family around her, on April 9, 2024.  She was born on May 22, 1933, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Schultz)Voss, in the town of Berry, Marxville, WI.  She attended a rural 1-room grade school and was a graduate of Mazomanie High School.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; being baptized, confirmed and marrying Lynn Seston on Sept. 9, 1953. They shared 70 yrs. together.  Her faith was an important part of her life, attending Adult Bible Study, the Joy Circle, teaching Bible School and serving on the Church Council.

Dorothy was employed at the Taxation and State Motor Vehicle Department for many years, and always enjoyed the days as an election poll worker in the Town of Berry. She loved daily newspaper puzzles, daily walks and traveling through-out the United States, on vacation with her husband.

Dorothy's family was an enjoyable part of her life; attending grandchildren's activities, making photo wall displays, covering the refrigerator with new pictures, and compiling photo albums/scrapbooks of special events for each passing year.   She was a great cook and could always pull together a meal if family stopped by.  She will always be remembered for her "Sweet Pickles" making them just like her Mother's, to make parties, Holidays, family gatherings more special.

She was preceded in death; by only 2 weeks-her husband, Lynn, 2 brothers, Russel, Harold, and 1 sister, Irene Hering Ryan, and a daughter-in-law, Dustie Seston.

Survivors include; Joan and (Mark) Anderson, Bruce and (Jane), Mitch and (Julie), and Terry Seston, 14 grandchildren: Mike (Angela) Anderson, Todd (Kailey) Anderson, Christy Parker, Adam, Kevin (Jennifer), Marcia, Quinn (Amanda), Brady (Amanda), Will, Kyle (Jessica), Brandon (Courtney), Cameron, Becca Seston, Kaitlynn (Brandon) Petri and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 14, from 2 - 5PM, at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 15, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8748 Hwy 19, Marxville.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery following the service.   Share your memories with the family, at the lunch following, approx.12:30PM at the Dorf Haus, Roxbury, WI.
