Obituary

Dorothy (Evert) (Wenger) Trager of Mazomanie, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at St Mary's hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on July 31, 1931 in the township of Roxbury to Emil and Alice (Taylor) Evert. She was united in marriage to Duaine Trager on April 8, 1961 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Dorothy worked at many restaurants and as a seamstress for many years. As well as being an excellent seamstress, she could cook anything, she also loved to bake, she made the grandkids special birthday cakes when they were younger. She also had beautiful flower gardens, but her pride and joy was her family. Dorothy and Duaine raised 5 wonderful children. When they were not working or spending time with their family you would find them dancing. Dorothy would make herself a new dress in one day to wear that night to the dance. Dorothy was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee.

She is survived by her husband, Duaine, 3 sons, Terry (Vicky) Wenger; Rick (Laurie) Wenger; Dale (Teri) Trager; 2 daughters, Cheryl (Mark) McWilliams and Brenda (Scott) Perry, 12 grandchildren, Shawn Wenger; Dustin (Kelli) Gradel; Kelly (Ryan) Bendixen; Branden (Vicki) Trager; Bryce (Lindsey) Trager; Brittany Trager (Friend-Justin Wardell); Joshua (Danielle) McWilliams; Courtney McWilliams; Mikaela McWilliams; Kerstin Perry (Fiancée- Nick Sarac); Austin Perry and Logan Perry, 9 great grandchildren, Nicholas and Marissa Gradel; Cameron and Caleb Bendixen; Landon Bigelow and Weston Trager; Amelia Trager; Brayden and Rilynn McWilliams, 2 Sisters, Charlotte Schwartz and Virginia (Curt) Greenheck, 2 brothers, William (Mary) Evert and Tom (Jeanne) Evert, 1 brother- in- law, Tom Mahoney, 3 sisters-in-law, Ruth Evert; Joan (Herb) Stangland and Jean (Mark) Liddicoat and numerus other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Alice Evert; parent-in-laws, Clifford and Dorothy Trager, her sister Ellen Mahoney, her brother Harvey Evert, brother-in-law Lawrence Schwartz and grandson Jesse Wenger.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Hooverson Funeral Homes, Sauk City. Service will be Friday 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee. Burial will be at Mazomanie Cemetery.
