Duaine C. Trager of Mazomanie/Waunakee passed away peacefully at the Waunakee Valley Senior Living on September 3, 2025 surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 15, 1939 in Mazomanie to Clifford and Dorothy C. Trager.  He married the love of his life Dorothy E. (Evert) Wenger on April 8, 1961 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Together they raised 5 children.  Duaine was a farmer and also a truck driver.  He was a devoted family man, never missed a dance recital, soccer, football or baseball game. It is the same for the great grandkids, nor does he miss a birthday party. The house was always filled with love and laughter. Duaine liked to go to toy shows and collect toy tractors.  He had several teams of horses and loved to hook them up and give sleigh rides.

He is survived by 3 sons: Terry (Vicky) Wenger, Rick (Laurie) Wenger, Dale (Teri) Trager, 2 daughters Cheryl (Mark) McWilliams & Brenda (Scott) Perry. 12 Grandchildren; Shawn Wenger, Dustin (Kelli) Gradel, Kelly (Ryan) Bendixen, Branden (Vicki) Trager, Bryce (Lindsey) Trager, Brittany Trager, Joshua (Danielle) McWilliams, Courtney McWilliams, Mikaela (Brandon) Falkner, Kerstin (Nick) Sarac, Austin (Danielle) Perry, Logan (Friend Hunter Sorenson) Perry.

16 Great-Grandchildren; Nicholas & Marissa Gradel, Cameron & Caleb Bendixen, Landon & Weston Trager, Amelia & Emery Trager, Brayden & Rilynn McWilliams, Brooks & Cashton Mack, Greyson & Holden Perry, Brooklynn & Brantley Sarac, 1 Sister; Joan Stangland, sister-in-laws; Charlotte Schwartz, Virginia (Curt) Greenheck, Ruth Evert. brother-in-laws; William (Mary) Evert, Tom (Jeanne) Evert. Numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Dorothy E Trager; his parents Clifford & Dorothy C.Trager; his parent in laws, Emil & Alice Evert; Grandson, Jesse Wenger; his sister, Jean Liddicoat; brother in laws, Mark Liddicoat, Herb Stangland, Lawrence Schwartz, Harvey Evert, Thomas Mahoney;  a sister in law, Ellen Mahoney; niece, Sara Stangland; and a nephew Tom Mahoney.

Visitation will be at Peace Lutheran Church, 701 S. Century Ave Waunakee, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 with the service starting at 11:00.
