Duane Christopher LaRoche, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at the Sauk Prairie Hospital. He was born April 7, 1965 to the late George and Sandra (Auck) LaRoche. Duane married Shawn R. Mundt on Aug. 22, 1993 at the First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. He worked for many years as a roofer. Duane loved sports, and could be found cheering on the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.
He is survived by his wife, Shawn; 3 children, Eric Schlough of Reedsburg, Ashley LaRoche and Brandon LaRoche, both of Sauk City; 4 fur babies, Echo, Nugget, Taz and Buster; 5 siblings, Mary (Brent) Varner of Lodi, Rose (George) Kingsland of Pardeeville, Joseph (Karen) LaRoche of Oxford, De Etta (John) Burkhalter of Tomah, Billy LaRoche of Vancouver, WA; mother in law, Marilyn Mundt of Sauk City; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George LaRoche, nephew, Jeremy "JJ" LaRoche, and his father in law, Duane Mundt.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00pm. As per Duane's family's wishes, Packers, Badgers, and Brewers attire is encouraged.
