IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dwight "Ike"
Dupee
February 8, 2023
In loving memory of Dwight "Ike" Dupee who passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at home surrounded by his wife, children and his dog, Willa.
A former track star and graduate of Wisconsin Heights High School, Ike worked on the UW-Madison campus for 36+ years, the majority of which were at the UW Car Fleet. He retired in 2011 and enjoyed many hobbies which included fishing, hunting, woodworking, putzing in the garage and caring for his neighbors. He also loved feeding the birds and squirrels from the many feeders in his yard. He was a master of jokes, keeping all who knew him very entertained!
Ike loved the Wisconsin Heights community. He served the Wisconsin Heights School District for over 30 years working for the athletics program. He coached, attended and worked many athletic events. He loved talking and interacting with the students, coaches, referees, umpires and the Wisconsin Heights school staff. He took pride in making every event he worked at run smoothly. Ike treated everyone he met like family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sue and his children Koren, Joshua, Steven and Jennifer. He was the best 'Pa' to his grandchildren Aiden, Emerson, Zoe, Brigham and Landon. Whether it was hanging out at Pa's desk eating from his candy stash, playing an intense game of cards or viewing his coin collection, the grandchildren always had fun with Pa and knew how much he loved them!
The Dupee family wishes to thank the Carbone Cancer Center (Dr. Z and 'Team Ike'), the 8 th floor staff of Meriter Hospital (all of you who entered room 882 and were so kind) and Bristol Hospice (Nurse Amy, we can never thank you enough!) for their wonderful care and guidance.
