Edith "Edie" R. Klamer, age 86, passed away at her home on Monday, March 26, 2012. She was born September 27, 1925 to the late Henry and Clara (Weidner) Herchenbach. Edie married Jacob Klamer Jr. on September 18, 1945. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her family.
Edie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jacob "Jay".
Children; James (Janet) Klamer, Lodi; Kathryn Hennek, Lodi; and Donald (Christine) Klamer, Lodi.
12 grandchildren; Reed Hadley, Robin (Peter) Christianson, Chad (Heather) Klamer, Mark Hennek, Dan (Nicole) Hennek, David (Holly) Klamer, Amy (Adam) Klamer, Jay, Melissa, Nicholas, Christopher and Sarah Klamer.
5 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A brother, Leroy Herchenbach and a sister, Emily (Bob) Kerbs, she is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son David, brothers; Len, Tony, Jim, Bill and a sister Anna Marie.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00am at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH,115 Madison St, Sauk City. Friends may call from 10:00am until 10:45 am at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City. Burial will follow at the Garden Bluff Cemetery in the West Point Township.
