Edmund John Wroblewski, age 84 , died on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born on February 25, 1925 in Chicago, the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Moranko) Wroblewski. The family moved to the New Lisbon area in 1936. Edmund was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in 1946 and 1947. He was united in marriage to Helen Franke on August 23, 1991. Edmund retired from Middleton Motors twenty-two years ago. He enjoyed watching football and baseball on television and attended his first game at the new Miller Park this past summer.
He is surived by his wife, Helen; a sister, Esther Hornburg of Florida; five step-children, David (Nancy) Franke, Anita (Dale) Lash, Ray (Darlene) DeChant, Josephine Tomlinson, and Victor DeChant; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn; four brothers; and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Leland, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2009 with Pastor Peter Heide officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
