Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Gastrow, age 79, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, August 12, 2010. She was born May 30, 1931 in Blackhawk. She married Albert "Al" J. Gastrow on May 24, 1952.


She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Al of Sauk City; 4 children, Kristine (Howard) Johnson, Julie (Mike) Cody, Scott(Shari) Gastrow, and Becky (Rick) Sorenson; 7 grand-children, Erika (Marcel) Goldschen, Ryan (Mandy) Johnson, Matthew Cody, Andrew Gastrow, Hailey Gastrow, Dane Sorensen, Brooke Sorensen; and a very beloved great-granddaughter, Elise Johnson.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Erna Gasner and a very special aunt Lorna Gasner.


A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 6:00 pm at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, in Sauk City with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
