Elizabeth "Liz" A. McPhee

Elizabeth “Liz” A. McPhee of Prairie du Sac/ West Point Twshp., age 75, passed away at her home on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026. She was born Oct. 22, 1950 to the late Frank and Margaret Lee. Liz attended and graduated from Edgewood High School and later studied and earned her CNA. She started working for St. Mary’s in Madison, and later moved to the Sauk Prairie area where she worked at the Fire House in Prairie du Sac. She then decided to continue her nursing career at Maplewood Nursing Home before starting a career at Sauk Prairie Hospital where she worked for almost 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed the friendship of her close neighbors, gardening, flowers, bird watching, spending time with her family especially her granddaughter, Jordyn and her 5 fury grand dogs.

She is survived by her boys, Pat (Kristi) McPhee and Chris (Krista) McPhee and their daughter, Jordyn; siblings, Mary Margaret (Joe) Wacker,  Ann Marie Springer, and David (Polly) Lee. Liz is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by former husband, Pat; her beloved dog, Axel; and brother in-law, Robert “Bob” Springer.

A visitation for Liz will be held at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. A private interment will be held in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
