Obituary

Elizabeth M. Endres, "Betty" age 81 of Roxbury passed away peacefully in her sleep at Waunakee Manor on Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born in the town of Dane on May 22, 1934. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Karls) Statz. She was united in marriage to Joseph F. Endres on November 8, 1955. Betty was no stranger to hard work raising her 14 children on the farm. She enjoyed the small moments in life and found a special way to connect with each of her children. Betty kept busy with her large gardens, raising chickens, baking and her hobbies. She made many special Christmas toys for her kids and could fix anything they brought to her. In 1988 they moved off the farm and she enjoyed working at Lake Wisconsin Country Club until she started at Maplewood Nursing Home as a CNA. Betty could see the humor in any situation and always found a way to see the positive. She was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Roxbury.

Betty is survived by her 14 children, Janet (Douglas) Connors, John (Kathy), Jerry, Charlie (Laura), Jane (Glen), Patsy Ragland, Lois (Jim) Tankersley, Allen (Jackie), Paul (Jodi), Karen, Brian (Michelle), Kevin (Heidi), Scott (Renee) and Karla (Casey) Williamson; and her grandchildren, Logan, Oriana, Rachelle (Mike), Kim (Ben), Joe, Monica (Ben), Lindy (Steve), Matt (Chauna), Evan, Mara, Jack, Erin, Tyler, Morgan, Bronson, Mercedes, Rachel, Luke, Sam, Tyler, Cole, Mikayla, Skyler, Zander, Keaton and Brady; and her 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Elaine Ziegler, Victor (Shirley), Bob (Henrietta), Judine Wood, John (Bambi), Ronnie (Cheryl), Kenny (Joyce) and Marilyn (John) Hurtgen and her in laws, Marie Ziegler, Dorothy Hellenbrand, Vincent (Lorraine) Endres and Lucille Endres.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Hillary, Philip, Sylvester and David.
