Erna Ottilia Hurd, age 94, passed away on Wed., February 13, 2008 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Mt. Pleasant Township, Green County, on May 25, 1913, the daughter of the late Otto and Marie (Hein) Schultz. She was united in marriage to George Hurd on July 29, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1965. Erna was employed at Thomas Industries, also known as Moe Lighting in Fort Atkinson, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters: Sharon (Wayne) Mueller of Prairie du Sac and Ruth Hurd of Neshkoro
A Sister: Gloria Fahrni of Dodgeville
12 Grandchildren
Many great and great-great grandchildren
Other relatives and many friends

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by:
2 Daughters: Alice Zuelsdorf and Georgine "Gigi" Meicher
A Grandson: Dustin Zuelsdorf
4 Sisters and 2 Brothers

Funeral services will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., February 16, 2008 with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Cambridge.
