Obituary

Everett E. Niles, age 79, passed away surrounded by family at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.  Everett was born in Mauston on July 1, 1943 to the late Howard and Marjorie (Eldred) Niles. His family moved to Prairie du Sac when he was a sophomore and he attended Prairie du Sac High School; graduating in 1961.

Everett came across Ardis Hawkins shortly after by chance, his vehicle broke down and he had made a collect call home for assistance.  Ardis was working as a telephone operator and she realized she was talking to an old Mauston school friend, they reconnected and were married July 7,1962 at the Bible Baptist Church in Mauston; she preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2003.

Everett obtained his Auto Body Tech degree at Madison Area Technical College, while working at a Ford dealership in Middleton.  It wasn't until 1971 that Everett started Everett's Body Shop in Sauk City and shortly after moved to the Prairie du Sac business park. Ardis worked alongside Everett in the business, and later their son, Bryan, joined the family business.  Together they earned a reputation for excellent customer service, and affordable and quality work in towing and body work.  Everett later remarried Juanita Stout on Feb. 5, 2005; she preceded him in death on Mar. 9, 2021.

Everett enjoyed cars and trucks, NASCAR races, football games, and road trips traveling out west and was currently planning his next trip out east.  His family was most important to him; he looked forward to family events and holidays when everyone could be together.  Equally important was his church family, as he was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sauk City and he was sworn in as a deacon recently.

He is survived by his children; Connie (LeRoy) Schell and their children, Cory (Kristina) Schell and their two daughters, Amelia and Natalie Schell and Kristin (Adam) Aaroen and their children, Logan and Alyssa Aaroen; Bryan (Jennifer) Niles and their sons, Adam Niles (Katia Rivas) and Jacob Niles; Angela (Jeremy) Weiss and their children, Kyler, Erin and Austin Weiss; Juanita's daughter, Julie (Christopher) Pendleton and their 6 children, Ashley Dunse, Dustin (Amanda) Dunse, Micha (Haley) Dunse, Lacey (Thad Barnes) Dunse, Sarinity and Nicholas Pendleton; three great-grandchildren, Easton, Lettie, and Olivia Dunse; Everett's siblings, Stephen (Connie) Niles and Evelyn Ehlenfeldt; he is further survived by other relatives and many friends.  In addition to his parents and wives; he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty and brother-in-law, Hoyt "Buddy" Williams, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Ehlenfeldt.

Everett's family wishes to thank the Sauk Prairie Hospital and St. Mary's Cardiac ICU Staff for the wonderful care and their valiant efforts.

A visitation for Everett will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  A funeral service for Everett will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 309 Water St., Sauk City; visitation will be held in the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
