Fern Louise Greenheck , age 95, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born on November 8, 1917 in Avoca, to John and Anna (Jensen) Clements. She was married to Walter Greenheck on November 18, 1936. The couple owned and operated a bar business in Gotham for 7 years and in Sauk City for 23 1/2 years. Fern served as secretary / treasurer for the Sauk County Tavern League for over 13 years and was also a Girl Scout leader for 13 years. She volunteered at the voting polls for many years and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include two sons, Curt (Ginny) Greenheck and Ron (Linda) Greenheck; a daughter; Marlene Miles; a daughter-in-law, Linda Greenheck; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Thomas; and a great-grandson, Matt Anderson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013 with Fr. Alex Navarro officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
