Florence M. Junge, 93, died Monday, April 5, 2010. She was born in Sauk County on June 18, 1916, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Margarete (Von Behren) Kuhnau. She was united in marriage to Herman Junge in 1935. The couple farmed in Prairie du Sac and Florence was also employed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Florence was an active community member and was instrumental in establishing the River Arts Center, and two parks on their former farmland, now known as Florence Park and Junge Park. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Rodney (Lynn) Junge; a daughter, Shirley Junge; 4 grandchildren, Diane Yurksaitis, Robert Yurksaitis, Cathy Junge and Debbie Junge; and a sister, Bernice Balfanz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, and a brother.

A graveside service will be held at the PRAIRIE DU SAC CEMETERY, at 12:00 noon on Sat., April 10, 2010 with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
