Fred. L. Kippley, age 55, died on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at UW Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a fall. He was born in Prairie du Sac on October 29, 1957, the son of the late Vernon and Harriet (Werla) Kippley. He was united in marriage to Linda Jaedike on April 15, 1989. Fred was the long-time owner of Locktight Security and Satellite in Prairie du Sac, co-owner of the Roxbury Trap Club, and a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was passionate about mountain biking, juggling, and hacky sack. He also much enjoyed being supportive of his sons' various interests and attending their activities. Fred had a quick wit and a zest for life which was apparent to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife and loving friend, Linda of Prairie du Sac; two cherished sons, Evan and Garrett; seven wonderful siblings, Sandra (Wayne) Bolton, Kristine (Richard) Frey, Liane (Michael) Walsh, Nick (Jeri Hammond) Kippley, Kenneth (Jessica Hasheider) Kippley, Paul (Ann) Kippley and Edwin (Theresa) Kippley; his mother-in-law, Irma (Edward) Reimer; his brother-in-law, Dale Jaedike; many treasured nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Kippley, and his father-in-law, Robert Jaedike.

A funeral service will be held at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013.

The family would like to express appreciation to responding members of the Sauk Prairie Ambulance Association, the physicians and especially nursing staff of the UW Hospitals and Clinics Trauma Center for their compassionate and tender care.
