George Oscar Wilke, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011. He was born on April 24, 1927 in Waunakee, the son of Oscar and Lola (Rhodes) Wilke. On July 17, 1950, he married Gloria Winecke of Loganville. He operated Sunnyside Hatchery for many years in Reedsburg, and had been employed by IBA selling agricultural supplies. After he retired, he worked for Weaver Auto Parts as a delivery driver. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on his lawn and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Margie (Michael) Bricco, Bill (Laurie) Wilke, Jeff (Richard Pratt) Wilke and Lisa (Pat) Bram; along with grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Aaron, Collin, Cora, David, Lacey and Jacob; and great grandchildren Natalie, Aiden, Jamison, Dakota; as well as sister Betty Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Karl, Rodney and Richard; and two sisters, Maebelle Watzke and Barbara Ossmann.

Funeral services will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
