Gerald "Jerry" W. Imberg, age 87, passed away peacefully at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022.   He was born Sept. 29, 1935 to the late Steve and Clara (Haas) Imberg.  Jerry grew up and attended school in Plain.  He later served in the United States Army, serving from 1955 until 1958.  Following his service in the Army; he started working for the United States Postal Service in the Prairie du Sac office.  He had one of the first foot routes going door to door.  Jerry retired in 2000 after 36 years with the postal service.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, shooting trap leagues, bowling, and pool leagues and always looked forward to a good card game.  He would also like to socialize with friends and tell stories from when he tended bar at the Dorf Haus, many years ago.  He will be fondly remembered by his friends.

A Memorial Mass for Jerry will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City at 11:00 am on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.  Military Honors for Jerry will follow the Mass and be accorded by the Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post 7694.  As per Jerry's wishes, no visitation will be held, interment will be held later in St. Luke's Cemetery, Plain.
