Glen E. Kamrath, age 87, died at his home on February 13, 2015, following a broken heart from the death of his grandson, Daren's death, on June 15, 2014. He was born on July 30, 1927, the son of Edwin and Leta (Welke) Kamrath. He was united in marriage to Adeline Zins on November 4, 1951.


Glen is survived by his wife of 63 years, Adeline; a daughter, Nancy (Gary) Liegel; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Kamrath; 3 grandchildren, Jaime Baker, Danny Kamrath and Jody (Mike) Rothe; 8 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kaleb and Kailey Baker; Tessa and Kiaya Kamrath; Aden Fisher; and Mason and Adriana Rothe; a sister, Verna Goerks; a brother-in-law, Verlyn (Mary) Zins; and other relatives and friends.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Philip; grandson, Daren; great-grandson, Ashton Kamrath; grandson-in-law, Nate Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Iola Kamrath; brother-in-law, Russell Goerks; and nephew, Ronald Kamrath.


A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
