Gordon Percy Davis, 94, of Sauk City, WI, passed away on December 22, 2023. Gordon, also known as Gordy, was born on February 18, 1929, on the farm in Rush Lake, WI. Gordon comes from a family of eleven children. He was a hardworking individual who dedicated many long hours to his work as a forklift truck mechanic. His work consumed most of his attention and he was away from his family much of the time.

Outside of work, Gordon faced personal challenges in his family life. Tragically, his eldest son, Jeffrey, passed away in a workplace accident at Gordon's job in 1967 when he was only seven years old. This incident deeply affected Gordon and strained his relationship with his family. In 1975, he filed for divorce from his first wife, Doris Dee (Stone) Davis, and subsequently left his family. For many years, Gordon did not have contact with his children. In 1981, he found love again and married Pearl Loy, who remained his devoted wife until her passing.

After retiring, Gordy found joy in completing construction projects for his friends. He possessed a talent for gardening and was recognized as a master gardener for his gardening skills at their Prairie de Sac home. His green thumb brought beauty and tranquility to his surroundings.

Gordon is survived by his disavowed children, David Davis (Karen) of Hennepin, IL, Julie Showalter of Rochester, MN, and five brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his firstborn, Jeffrey Davis, and his second wife Pearl (Loy) Davis.

Gordon's life will be remembered at a service held at Concordia United Methodist Church, located at 585 5th St, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578, on January 5, 2024, at 11:00 in the morning.
