Gregory A. Mulcahy, age 76, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2016 from Alzheimer's Disease. He was born on November 29, 1939 the son of Daniel and Evelyn (Rieser) Mulcahy.
Greg grew up in Blackhawk and graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1958. He was an All-Conference halfback on the football team and he went to State in track multiple times as a sprinter and in the relay. He proudly served as a Medic in the Wisconsin Air National Guard for 6 years. Greg married Kay Price of Sauk City and they had one daughter, Lisa.
Joan Bader was Greg's beloved partner of 34 years. They enjoyed their life together and their many pets living on Lake Wisconsin. Greg and his sister Judy developed a passion for animals while growing up together on a farm with their loving grandfather, Alfred Rieser of Blackhawk. Greg admired his brother Terry who was his best friend. He was proud of his daughter Lisa and grandson Bennett. Greg was always the first to help someone. He was a genuine, kind man who always showed up with a big smile and his unique sense of humor. He usually was seen carrying his white dog in his arms.
Greg was the owner of Twin City Forms, Inc, of Prairie du Sac for over 40 years. Originally a concrete company, he expanded it into a multi-faceted building business including homes, businesses, agricultural systems, boathouses and work with the DNR. A career highlight was that he built the first wave pool in Wisconsin Dells.
Greg acquired an eye for design and architecture as a young boy inspired in part from visits and conversations with Frank Lloyd Wright who would stop by his grandparent's home for dinner. Greg was extremely hard working and employed many men from the community. Working was something he enjoyed and he could fix anything. He was very innovative in his concepts and ideas and always found a solution to any challenge.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Alfred and Edith (Walster) Rieser, Daniel and Charlotte (Brown) Mulcahy and sister, Karen Midthun.
