Obituary

Heaven gained a new angel. Heather Louise Boehnen, age 43, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, with her family by her side at University Hospital in Madison after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Madison, on April 7, 1972 to Jane L. Booth. Heather graduated as Class President and Valedictorian of her class at Wisconsin Heights High School, class of 1990. Following high school she attended Mount Mary College, in Milwaukee, and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design. Heather married Jamie A. Boehnen, on May 13, 1995. She worked as a clerk for the Dane County Clerk of Courts for the last ten plus years.

Heather found much joy with her many trips to Arizona and the "Lake House" in Northern Wisconsin spending time with family. Heather's fondest memories were fishing with her husband, Jamie, and son, Tyler, along with the many rides in her Jeep with the top down. She enjoyed watching and cheering on Tyler while playing sports, and over the last few months she continually exhibited her courage and determination to be at Tyler's football games and school functions.

Heather was a gifted artist and in recent years she found happiness by creating special birthday and thank you cards for all her family. Heather enjoyed many music genres, but specifically liked Keith Urban's music. She showed her compassion by being involved with fund raising for the March of Dimes and the Leukemia Foundations.

Heather is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jamie; her 8 year old son, Tyler; her faithful dog, Scout; her mother, Jane Booth; her father and mother in-law, Lyle Boehnen and Jeanne Howard; brother in-law, Jesse (Janet) Boehnen. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Heather was preceded in death by a daughter, Alexandra; and her brother Mark.

Heather's family would like to acknowledge the many Doctors and Nurses at UW Hospital Oncology Department who took such great care of her over the years. A special thank you to Amber Schoenemann for the wonderful care you gave Heather.

A Celebration of Heather's Life will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the Hooverson Funeral Home, HWY 14, Mazomanie.
