Heather Sue McBride, age 51, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids on November 17, 2024.  She was born Jan. 17, 1973 to the late John and Carolyn (Smith) McBride.  She graduated from the Wisconsin Dells High School; class of 1991.  She loved cats and butterflies, exercise time, staying busy crafting, playing skip-bo and coloring in her coloring book.  Heather really enjoyed and looked forward to family visits and always had a funny joke to share.

She is survived by her brother Thomas (Diane) McBride and her sister, Peggy (Francis Breunig) McBride; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bridget; and brother Sean.

Heather's family would like to acknowledge the caregivers, helpers and for the friendships Heather has had throughout many years in group homes in New Lisbon, Rome, Necedah, Cadott, Portage and Baraboo and for the last 7 years with Vista Care, and the staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids for the last 5 weeks of her life.

A Memorial Service for Heather will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Interment will be held in the Sauk City Cemetery.
