Hedwig M. "Hedy" Taylor, age 74, died on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sauk City on March 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Vincent and Hedwig (Walser) Schmitz. She attended Sauk City High School, graduating in the class of 1953. She was united in marriage to Robert Taylor on April 16, 1955 at First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. Hedy was formerly employed at Badger Ordnance and Lang's Restaurant.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Bobby (Mary) Taylor; two grandchildren, Travis and Amanda; special friend, Julie Taylor; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey.

Funeral services will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will be in the Sauk City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
