Helen Elizabeth (Weynand) Dederich , died on March 27, 2016. Helen was born on August 10, 1922. She is the youngest of six children of George and Mary (Ballweg) Weynand. She graduated from Sauk City High School in 1940. Helen went to Harper Method Beauty School and worked at Badger Ordinance in the payroll department. Helen also worked at Rundells Beauty Shop.

"I married Donald Dederich on September 10, 1946. We had five children and had a wonderful life. Don died on August 4, 2004. We have 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren."

Helen is survived by five children; Sherri (Doug) Steuber, Keith Dederich, Peg (Ron) Laubmeier, Ron (Jackie) Dederich, Kathy (Charlie) Galle; ten Grandchildren, Shane (Tammy) Steuber, Shelly (Dave) Gulden, Sindee (Jason) Granger, Kim Laubmeier PhD, Reg (Lindsay), Laubmeier, Clint (Dana) Dederich, Brent (Jill) Dederich, Elliot (friend Paige Ruhland) Dederich, C.J. (Richelle) Galle and Angela (Rocco) Sylvester and 15 great grandchildren.

Helen was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by three sisters-in-law; JoAnn Behnke, Darlene Pings and Florence Dederich.

Helen is preceded in death by two sisters; Ann Mabis and Sally Weiss, three brothers; Tony Weynand, Barney Weynand, Ray Weynand and great grandson, Rocco J. Sylvester, III.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, with Father John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:15 am on Saturday, prior to the Mass, at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
