Helen Margaret King, age, 97, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Maplewood Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 14, 1918 to the late Henry and Katherine (Seng) Schultz. Following her high school graduation from Lacrosse Central High, she attended beauty college in Milwaukee. Helen was united in marriage to Raymond King on December 23, 1943; he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1993.
She is survived by her 4 children, Patricia (Jerry) Cornelius of Sherrand, Illinois, Donald (Jean) King of Saginaw, Texas, Marianne (Ken) Kurtenacker of Suamico, WI and Scott (Kathy) King of Necedah, WI; 10 grandchildren, Cristy, Tim, Jill, Kathleen, Kimberly, Laura, Karen, Jeff, Mike, and Becky; 15 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Craig, Cayden, Chloe, Colin, Kate, Sam, Nicholas, Jonathan, Madison, Benjamin, Aleeya, Raydan, Lucy, and Jack; one great-great granddaughter, Abby. Helen is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Oscar, Carl, George, Bill, Alfred, Katherine, Pearl, and Edna.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 Oak Street, Prairie du Sac. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Helen's name to Agrace Hospice.
