Obituary

Henry "Butch" Otto Gauger Jr., age 71, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Reedsburg on Jan. 16, 2018. He was born Nov. 14, 1946 in Tokyo Japan to the late Henry O. and Mildred (Feight) Gauger Sr. Butch attended schools in Wonewoc and Boscobel. Butch enjoyed the outdoors and in his earlier years, hunting and fishing. He loved to drive and take road trips; this was evident as he drove semi-truck for over 40 years at many companies including, Rayovac, Fuchs, and Skinner until he retired in the fall of 2015.

Butch is survived by his son, Kurtis Gauger of Lodi; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Steinmetz, brother, William (Eileen) Gauger, sister in-law, Patsy Gauger; many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Lovik; brother, Jim Gauger; and sister, Patricia Gauger.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00 pm on Jan. 27, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, WI 53583. A gathering will follow at the Prairie du Sac Town Hall, S.9903 US Hwy 12, Prairie du Sac.
