Howard "Fred" Sorg, age 71, passed away on Saturday January 22 , 2011 at St Mary's Hospital , Madison. Fred was born on May 17, 1939 the son of the late Howard L. and Viola(Sprecher) Sorg. He was united in marriage to Joyce Quade on June 27, 1959. Fred was employed by Foremost Farms for many years. He enjoyed his hobby farm, working the land, fishing, trapping and cutting wood. His greatest pride was spending time with children and grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife Joyce.

14 Grandchildren.
4 Siblings, Cal (Phyllis) of Sauk City, Joyce (Wilfred) Gasser of Plain, John (Dorothy) of Prairie du Sac, June (Bob) Sater of Waunakee.
2 Aunts , Ruth Hehenberger of Sauk City and Marcella Sprecher of Sauk City.

He is further survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ava Pagel.


A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church , Black Hawk, WI , with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, WI. In lieu of flowers , memorials can be given to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.
