Hurley George Jacobs, age 76, died on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born in Crandon, WI on December 8, 1932, the son of the late Henry and Pheba (Bellamy) Jacobs. He was united in marriage to Marian Getschman on January 9, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2009. Hurley had been employed at Badger Ordnance for 47 years.

He is survived by four children, Daniel (Anna), Michael (Laurlin), Kathy, and Gary; 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Orville (Madge) Jacobs; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Jacobs. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery; and 11 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at MERRIMAC UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 with Pastor Anita Genrich officiating. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009.
