Inez Jonas, age 98, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Maplewood Nursing Home. She was born January 28, 1912 in Richland County, the daughter of the late Giles and Orpha (Dull) Bailey. She was a graduate of Vernon County Normal School and was employed at Central Colony for 16 years retiring in 1977. She was an area resident since 1945, a member of the Friendly Hours Homemakers Club for over 40 years and enjoyed a neighborhood card club for many years.



Survivors include six children, Jerry (Karen) Jonas of Prairie du Sac, John (JoAnne) Jonas of Massapequa Park, NY, James (Corrine) Jonas of Prairie du Sac,
Marianne (Robert) Whitmoyer of Prairie du Sac, Jean (Arnold) Bye of Waunakee, Susan (Reon) Onstine of Bradenton, FL; a sister; Donna (Albert) Weeks of Prairie du Sac; a sister-in-law; Margaret Bailey of Richland Center, 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Eddie Bailey, Paul (Arlene) Bailey, Rosella (Clarence) Frazier, Elaine (Lowell) Turner, Nyle Bailey and Leon (Lillian) Bailey.




A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
