Obituary
Irene D. Hooker, age 79, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on July 17, 1936, the daughter of the late George an Elsa (Malone) Gieck Sr.
Irene was united in marriage to Joseph Hooker Sr. on February 4, 1956. She loved being outside and working on the farm in Honey Creek, retiring in 1997.
She is survived by; 3 children, Joseph Jr., Barbara and James; 3 brothers LaVern (Alice) Gieck, Fred and Russell; sisters in law, Eva and Dawneen Hooker.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives, friends and her special fur grandcompanion, Pumpkin.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by brothers, George (Esther) Gieck, Clarence and an infant brother, 2 sisters, Martha Bruckert and Gusty Gieck.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI , with Rev. Jennifer Fite officiating. Burial will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
